About me
My name is Rachel Travis, I am a professional Makeup Artist, Hair and Wig Stylist. From a young age I’ve been involved in the world of performing arts where my passion for all things hair and makeup ultimately began, since then I’ve gone on to work in Theatre, TV & Film, and Fashion.
I have trained at London College of Fashion and Southampton Solent University gaining a degree in Makeup and Hair Design. I have also trained with makeup brands including: MAC, Illamasqua, Laura Mercier and Kryolan. I have also completed an advanced Wig Work and Postiche unit learning everything about Wigs and Postiche including: setting, styling, knotting and application.
Most recently I have been on tour as Wigs Assistant on Curtains Musical UK Tour from October 2019. During this tour I was part of a two-person team styling and maintaining the 20+ wigs on stage every performance. I’ve also gained experience with the UK tours of Les Misérables and 9 To 5 The Musical.
I have also worked for Universal Music and Showcase Cinemas as a Hair and Makeup Assistant. My experience includes working for brands such as: Batiste, Benefit, Beauty Bay, L'Oreal Paris, All Out Beauty, NYX Professional and Children in Need as a makeup artist and/or Hair Stylist for numerous events.
I am available for Private bookings in the North West for Theatre, TV, Film, Fashion, Beauty and Editorial; including Bridal and Prom.
